Growing Futures Fund
Cultivating Food Sovereignty, One Garden at a Time
The Growing Futures Fund supports community-based research, seed stewardship, educational growing spaces, and food sovereignty initiatives throughout Haida Gwaii. Contributions to this fund help create and maintain community gardens, demonstration plots, traditional food and medicine gardens, seed-saving projects, and educational programs that reconnect people with the land and local food systems.
Donations help provide seeds, tools, educational resources, infrastructure, soil improvements, fencing, and learning opportunities for youth, families, Elders, and community members. The fund also supports research into traditional food plants, medicine plants, sustainable growing practices, and community-led approaches to food security and self-sufficiency.
By supporting the Growing Futures Fund, you are helping create living classrooms where knowledge can be shared across generations and where future harvests begin with a single seed.
Together we are growing stronger communities, healthier food systems, and a more resilient future.
